Chicken Gyro’s with a yogurt sauce


Yogurt sauce
1-16oz container Greek yogurt
1 cucumber peeled, chopped
1-1/2 tsp dried dill
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp sumack, optional

In a blender place all ingredients a blend until mixed together well. Set aside in fridge.

Chicken Marinade
In a bowl whisk together,
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 lemon, juiced
2 tsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp dried oregano

1-1/4 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast cubed
Add chicken to marinade and cover place in the fridge for at least an hour.
Broil chicken on a baking sheet for 2-4 minutes on each side until cooked. Transfer to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes.
6 pita’s, warmed in a skillet
1 tomato diced
1/2 head lettuce diced
Place chicken in pita’s, lettuce,tomato and sauce. Roll up.
